A little more than a year since they broke ground, Danville’s iconic White Mill is well on its way to becoming Dan River Falls.

The 550,000-square-foot building will include restaurants, shops, and apartments.

Project officials say they’re making remarkable strides. They hope when you see the current progress you can envision what it will look like.

Crews have been hard at work inside and out over the past six months. If you pass by, you’ll see that most of the windows are up, and a fresh coating is on the concrete. And quite a bit has happened underground like putting in utilities.

The next thing crews will tackle is putting up the drywall for the 150 apartment units.
