The plans for a riverfront development inĀ Appleton range from senior housing, to apartments for students at Lawrence University.
Those are the two options for the former Foremost Dairy site that the Appleton Redevelopment Authority will go over, in depth, tomorrow.
Gorman and Company, and The Alexander Company submitted proposals last month. Community development director Karen Harkness says a review team favored their ideas over three others.
Gorman is looking to build 43 five- or six-room student apartments, along with 26 duplexes and townhomes.
Alexander is proposing a 100-unit senior living facility, as well as 12 to 24 apartments or condos.
The surrounding neighborhood has raised concerns about traffic in the past, and having seniors or students living there would lessen that problem.
