Crews are still moving full speed ahead as they transform Danville’s iconic White Mill into Dan River Falls.

The Alexander Company is developing the project. Project Development Manager Dave Vos said that construction has come a long way.

“Having the White Mill, a building with concrete block and the building undeveloped and the parking lot not looking very good, really put a stain on all the activity that’s happening in the River District,” Vos said.

Throughout the last year and a half, crews have added massive windows and a fresh coat of paint to the 550,000-square-foot building. Right now Vos said they are working on several things like paving the outside and the parking lot and adding the finishing touches to the first 150 apartment units.
