The Finance Committee of the Milwaukee County Board of Supervisors on Thursday unanimously approved a budget amendment that advances the Domes Reimagined plan that was presented to the Milwaukee County Committee on Parks and Culture in September.

The budget amendment, which now goes to the full County Board at its Nov. 7 meeting, includes the county’s $30 million contribution to the $107.4 million plan, which would renovate the existing domes and build an addition.

The plan is a partnership between the Friends of the Domes, Milwaukee County Parks and Madison-based real estate developer The Alexander Company.
