Built in 1914, Memphis’ Central Station has always played an important role in the vitality of the city. The station served not only as the main passenger rail hub for the region, but also as the offices and headquarters of several railway companies.

Before
After

The revitalization effort took into consideration the rich history and feeling of pride surrounding Central Station. The Main Hall was painstakingly restored down to the last detail, including the original arrival and departure board. The final product includes 63 apartment residences and 35,000 square feet of commercial space. Amenities for residents include a rooftop garden, expansive windows with views of the Mississippi River and downtown, and large well-appointed apartments.

The facility continues to serve as an Amtrak Passenger Station. Additionally, the Memphis Police Department and Memphis Area Transit Authority now call Central Station home.
