Contractor J.P. Cullen & Sons Inc. in spring will move its regional office from Brookfield to the historic Fortress property slated for restoration near downtown Milwaukee.
Larry Rocole, vice president, said J.P. Cullen will move into about 12,000 square feet in the Fortress in April 2018. The 1890s complex of buildings at 100 E. Pleasant St. will be restored into 132 apartments, with first- and second-floor commercial space, under a project led by Madison developer Alexander Co. Inc.
