Located in downtown Marinette, Wisconsin, Dunlap Square preserved local heritage while providing 97 mixed-income apartments and 31,179 square feet of commercial space.

Dunlap Square was created in 1992 through the historic renovation of the former Lauerman Brothers Department Store and the Bijou Theatre building.

Both the Lauerman building and the Bijou Theatre, constructed in 1904 and 1905 respectively, are local landmarks listed on the National Register of Historic Places. For many years, Lauerman’s was known as “The Largest Small City Store in America.” Downtown Marinette grew around Dunlap Square, now known as the city’s historic center.
